Happy Cinco de Mayo

Another year, another celebration. Down here in Mexico cinco de mayo is not a big deal. It’s not even an official holiday. But I wanted to write something today because I’ve neglected my blog for quite sometime and I need to change that. My work is still related to food. I’m still working with chefs and people involved in Mexican cuisine. I’ve just been too damn busy and the days keep getting shorter and shorter, hehe. Anyway, if you want to read more about cinco de mayo please read the article I wrote for Zomppa. And I leave you with a list of recipes you can make to celebrate cinco de mayo.     All your recipes look so good. I didn't plan a Mexican inspired dish for today but will be making chicken with a cilantro cream sauce so I kind of did…

    Ben – these recipes look amazing! So glad you approved of my homemade tortillas! I have only recently started making them myself – I can’t believe it took me so long to learn how to do it. I’m definitely going to try my hand at corn tortillas now.

    So Cinco de Mayo is bigger in the States than Mexico, huh? I guess we look for any reason to have a margarita..LOL.

    Ben Happy Cinco de Mayo. The Mexican bruschetta looks tasty and elegant!
    I sure can adapt it my vegetarian diet perhaps adding tempeh or seitan to it.
    We at Weirdcombinations love Mexicam food, will come back for more :)
