In my regard, beans–especially pinto beans–are very admirable and giving of themselves (and I don't mean gas). They're plentiful, cheaper than dirt, and delicious in every thinkable way–yet it never occurred to me to combine them roasted garlic and make soup. I agree that soup is one of the two or three most satisfying things on earth, and pinto beans plus roasted garlic equals pure genius. Kudos.

I totally relate to having hearty soups in this weather, I am doing the same thing. This soup sounds fantastic, flavorful and yum !
