I can’t believe it is Thursday already. Time really flies when you are having fun, right? This was a short week here in the States because of Memorial Day so I decided to tackle (or at least try to) a house project. It is far from done, but at least I took the first steps. Anyway, I haven’t been cooking much this week because of that and because I am getting ready for an special event I’ll be hosting Saturday (big party with tons of food all prepared by me. That sounds like fun, doesn’t it?)
I will be writing about it all next week, but today I wanted to share with you one of the experiments I will be serving: avocado dip. Though this dip resembles guacamole, that’s not what it is. This is made with 6oz of cream cheese, 1 avocado, the juice of one lime and a dash of salt. These ingredients give it a very unique and delicious flavor. Serve it with a vegetable tray and bread and you’ll be very popular at any party. You can even spread it over sandwiches and bagels to give them a new twist in flavor. I made chicken sandwiches with this and Jon loved them. Now I just need to wait for the reaction at the party on Saturday.
