I went back to school to finish my degree when I was 27 and spent many, many good years in that profession. I think your plans sound very exciting and smart. I have thought of going to culinary school too but like you, I am not interested in having my own restaurant or any eating establishment, I just want to learn more, write and do my photography. And, many of the programmes I looked at seemed geared towards people interested in working in the industry (restaurant). I am fortunate to have a career that offers me the flexibility to follow my passion. I am constantly building on that passion and one day hope to make it a full-time career, until then, I am happy with the way things are. All the best my friend.
